The Z Cave!

At the beginning of the semester a lot of students went to Zedekiah's Cave.  Somehow I was never in any of the groups that went, and so as time is running out some of us decided to go.  Zedekiah's Cave (or Zacharias' Tunnel as I may have accidentally called it all day) was where they took the stone for the first temple built in Jerusalem.  Pretty awesome--yep.  It was a lot bigger than I was expecting which also made it more enjoyable.   It was quite a blast because we really enjoyed taking pictures while there.

As Leslie observed, in a cave you can't always tell which way is up and which way is down (especially if there wasn't any pavement).  So we tested that out with a lot of pictures.  Here is one of them.

Oh no! Which way is up?  (I may have made them take this picture multiple times because I thought it was hilarious to watch them flip there hair over and jump at the same time.)

Boy band picture!

10 points if you can guess which shadow is mine!

Then we went shopping. Obvi so fun! Next up, Church of the Holy Sepulchre. When we were leaving this man came up to us to talk to us. He is the doorman/custodian of the church and also a Muslim. Years ago when they were deciding upon space and all that they gave the keys to the church to a Muslim family. Since then the keys have been in the family. Every night there is a ceremony to lock the door. It was pretty awesome meeting him. He gave us his business card. If I am ever a doorman/custodian I want a business card.

Overall a fabulous day!
