Really just wandering around.

Today we got out early to hit the town.  We went to Dome of the Rock and it was closed.  We tried going to certain shops which were closed.  Then we walked on the roof tops.  I had heard a lot about it and how cool it was.  It wasn't quite as cool as I expected, but cool enough.

On the roofs with Lindsay and Andi.

I think this is a pretty funny paparazzi-esk shot.

Then we went and got the most delicious donut I have ever had in my life. It was filled with caramel and soo good. I had to buy another one because it was so good.

Next up we went to the temple institute. This place is focusing on making artifacts for the inside of the third temple. I didn't think they would appreciate it if I said that the next temple to be on the temple mount was going to be a Mormon temple.

Their ark and the covenant.  Haven't they seen Indiana Jones?
Then we went to the The Ariel Center which has a model of the the first temple period Jerusalem. We got to watch an awesome 3D movie--meaning a screen in front that you can see through and another screen in back with the temple model between them. I took pictures of it.

Obviously it was very high quality. The plot was about this artist trying to paint Jerusalem from the first temple period and he would meet people of the time to try to capture the beauty. My favorite part was when he was talking to another man and painted a mustache onto him. Talk about hilarious. But really it was a lot of fun. It was cool because everything the tour guide had said we knew. I really am getting an education here. Then we learned how to write our names in ancient Hebrew.

Then we wandered around for a little bit longer and headed to West Jerusalem. I got McDonalds! It was good to eat normal food. (To tell you the truth, its been pretty difficult to eat lately because the food just isn't the greatest...and I am still picky! Oh well!)

Then we tried going to a few more shops which were also closed, I warded off a little boy--with the holidays they have too much time on their hands and get into trouble, and then we walked home.

Then I studied a lot. Soooo much fun. I considered withdrawing from a class, but decided against it when I realized that I think I may have signed something about taking all the classes and I don't want to get sent home early. So sad.

For FHE we went to our branch presidents apartment (which is a few doors down from mine) and made cookies! It was fun to be in a home type place! So awesome!

It was a pretty good day and fun to be out in the city!
