First Day on my own

Friday was a great day!  We started out with a field trip.  First we went to the Israeli museum.  It holds some of the dead sea scrolls and other awesome things.  It was amazing.  I am really grateful that I went to London because it made me appreciate museums.  I had a fabulous time.  One of my favorite things to see was this foot/ankle bone that had a nail int.  It is the only archeological evidence they have of the crucifixion.  Isn’t that crazy?  I had no idea that they didn’t have more.  (At least that is what the museum said)

Next we ate our lunch.  It was interesting and each one had an apple in it.  Fabulous just fabulous!

Then we went to the Garden tomb.  Our tour guide was this old British man.  He was great about giving us a good guide and not saying it was exactly the right place.  It was really fun.

"He is not here, for he is risen!"

Finally, we finished our field trip and we were allowed to go in small groups to the old city.  It was a lot more crowded this time.  We walked around and a lot of the shop keepers would as “You Mormon?” and we would say “Yes!”  “Oh I LOVE Mormons, let me show you something in my shop!”  They tried very hard to sell us everything.  We did a great job and made it out without buying anything.  The fact that we didn’t bring money with us probably helped ;).

On our way out of the city this guy totally tried to pick pocket me.  It didn’t work because I didn’t have pockets but I was a little bit shocked.  I knew that it happened, but I am just a sweet girl.  Why would anyone want to pickpocket me?  :)

Then after dinner we watched a movie called Loving Leah.  It was hilarious!  Bahaha, I’ll tell you what if you want an entertaining movie you should watch it.  (P.S. I am being sarcastic…but it was funny)
A few more people got here this day.  One of them is my roommate Desiree.  She seems pretty cool so far!  It should be entertaining.
